PIERCE MUNICIPAL SWIMMING POOL | ![]() |
In 1992, a $360,000 bond issue was passed by Pierce residents to replace the city's 35-year-old swimming pool with a larger modern facility. The new pool opened in 1994 with a dedication ceremony featuring Nebraska governor Ben Nelson.
The 175,000 gallon heated pool features state of the art filtration and chlorination systems and spacious shower and dressing rooms. Both 1M and 3M diving boards can be used and a separate wading pool is available for small children.
The pool is open during the months of June, July and August. Swimming lessons are offered as well as water aerobics, lap swimming and after hours rentals for private parties.
Call the pool after June 1st at (402)329-4406 for hours, rates, lesson dates or other information.
