TOURNAMENT RULES

Age Divisions:
Under 14, born after 7-31-93
Under 13, born after 7-31-94
Under 12, born after 7-31-95
Under 11, born after 7-31-96
Under 10, born after 7-31-97
Under 9, born after 7-31-98
Under 8, born after 7-31-99

Entry Fee: $100.00 per U8 team; $200.00 per U9 and U10 teams; and $240 for all other teams.

Entry Deadline: Entries must be received or postmarked by May 15, 2008. Incomplete entries will be returned. Entries must include both the Application for Entry form and the Team Roster form together with the entry fee.

Competition Format: Teams will play a minimum of three games. Depending upon the number of entries in each division, teams will play either round robin or bracket play. Divisions with three teams will play round robin.  High point team will advance to the championship game.  The remaining two teams will rematch, the winner will advance to the championship game.  Divisions with four teams a championship game will be played, third place will be determined by points.  Divisions with five or more teams will play a consolation game to determine third place.  The total score of any team playing four games will be multiplied by .75 to achieve a final score.  A point system will determine which teams advance to the finals if bracket play is used to determine the finalists in a division.  The Tournament Director reserves the right to combine or cancel divisions based on the number of entries, and to reclassify teams into appropriate divisions. Team check-in and roster verification will be mandatory prior to play. A laminated NSSA player pass is required for proof of age at team check-in for each player on each team. Out of state teams must have proper travel papers.

Team Roster: The Team Roster form must be fully completed. No team will be allowed more than 18 players and no player is allowed to play on more than one team. Under 8 will play 5 on 5, Under 9, and Under 10 will play 6 on 6.  Under 11 and Under 12 will play 8 on 8.  Under 13, Under 14 play 11 on 11.  Your roster will not be frozen until you check in prior to your first game. No more than three guest players per team. All team members must be registered with NSSA.

Schedules: Schedules will be mailed approximately June 6, 2008.

Awards: Medals will be awarded to first, second, and third place teams.  Participation medals will be awarded for all Under 8.

Rules: Current USFYA rules, FIFA laws of the game, tournament rules and guidelines will apply. The Tournament Director will have the final decision. The tournament is endorsed by the Nebraska State Soccer Association.
