![]() Shortly after the museum complex was opened in 1976, the flood of donated items became so great that it was obvious the old depot could not hold them all. Plans were then started for a building to house the larger historical items and in May of 1978 approval was given to construct a 40x60-foot steel building. About the first of August the building was completed at a cost of $14,224. Within a few months the project was paid for through the profits of the annual Thresher's Bee and donations from interested invidviduals. This building holds a wonderful display of antique farm equipment, horse drawn wagons, a large tool display and an unique barb wire display.
1916 Case 65 Steam Engine On display in the machinery building is a 1916 Case 65 Steam Engine. W.W. Fogle, who was owner of the Pierce Telephone Company, donated it to the Pierce Historical Society in July 1985. It has been on display at the museum since that time and has been used in many area parades, and has run in every Pierce Threshing Bee since arriving in Pierce.
