1925 Graham Dodge
Restoration
The City of Pierce ordered this
1925 Graham Brothers Fire Truck on
December 11, 1924. It was delivered on April 9, 1925 For A Sum
Of
$4,800 to be paid over 3 years. The truck responded to its first
call, a
barn struck by lightning on April 30, 1925. The fire engine was
severely damaged many years ago being returned from a neighboring
towns celebration and it continued to deteriorate after that time.
In 1995 the members of the Pierce Volunteer Fire Department
resolved to restore the truck. Its restoration is dedicated to
the past,
present and future volunteer firefighters of Pierce whose unselfish
devotion to duty to the Pierce community is an example to all.
