Bill Cox Memorial Lake

Whether you enjoy fishing, waking, canoeing or just relaxing under a shade tree, beautiful 11-acre Bill Cox Lake in Gilman Park is just for you.

The Lake has fishable populations of largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie and catfish. A size limit of 15 inches is in effect for bass and all other state fishing regulations are enforced. Rowboats and boats with electric motors can be used.

For your hiking pleasure, a walk around the lake can be the perfect start or end to your day. A 1.2 mile wood chip path winds through the Arboretum which lies along the lakes shores. Park benches along the way provide for rest and relaxation.

Wild Canada Geese are almost always present around the lake and in 1996, four pairs of geese nested and raised 19 goslings on the lakes two islands.
